Configuration - System - Import

Create a new definition or make use of an existing definition

Running an import the first time requires an import definition; this has to be created. When an import has previously run and the criteria are the same then the existing this definition can be selected instead.

Start
When there is no import definition yet, the option "Create a new import definition" selected by default. Click 'Next' to create the definition.

Upload file
Enter a name for the definition and click the "Upload file" button to upload a file.
The supported formats are csv and excel.

Format
The system indicates the format of the uploaded file. If this is an Excel file, there is the opportunity to select a specific tab in the Excel file. There is also the option to specify how many lines should be skipped during the import. This can be used when the first line of the import file contain the titles of the columns. In this case set this value to 1 to skip the titles during the import.

Column mapping
The columns from the file (including an example) are shown on the left. Select the columns under 'target field', corresponding with the fields in i-Reserve. Skip the columns that don't need to be included in the import.

During mapping, additional actions may also be linked to the import. For example, it is possible to start all names with a capital letter. Another example might be to change texts such as "Netherlands" during the import to "The Netherlands".

Import rules
For the import of additional usage, there is no possibility to set up additional import rules (as opposed to import customers).

Check file
Make sure the file name and the number of lines to be imported are correct. If this is correct, the import can be started with the link "Import!".

Batch overview
The next screen is the batch overview. This shows the status of the import. It is also possible to see how many lines there are actually imported correctly.
Note: This may (depending on the size of the file) may take some time.

Dit kan (afhankelijk van de grootte van het bestand) soms enige tijd in beslag nemen.
