Getting started with reports!
Using reports can provide great value for your business.
By regularly using reports, you gain clear and structured insights into key business data such as your revenue, occupancy rate, and peak times or days.
This information helps you identify trends and patterns, allowing you to better respond to changes in the market or within your own organization. You’ll spot bottlenecks — for example, understaffing during peak hours or declining revenue on certain days — but you’ll also uncover strengths in your business, such as high-performing services or efficient processes.
In short: reports offer a valuable foundation for informed decisions, targeted optimizations, and sustainable growth.
Note: The following permissions are required to use reports:
- menu_report
- report_manage_report
There are 3 different types of reports you can create: Revenue, Occupancy Rate, and Peak Hours
The first time you open this page, you will immediately be prompted to create one of the three.
If you want to create more later, go to Views > Manage Reports
Click on "add report", enter the name of the report, and click on "add report" under the settings
Important Settings for a Revenue Report
When configuring a revenue report, the following settings are important:
Context
The data the report should be based on.
In this case, it can be based on the created reservations or the generated invoices within the selected timeframe.
Group by
Here you specify the time interval by which the revenue should be displayed.
Reservation Price Field
In addition to absolute revenue, you can also calculate other values such as total price, prices excluding options, total VAT, total of all options, total discount given, and total paid.
The corresponding values are: TOTAL_PRICE, TOTAL_PRICE_WITHOUT_OPTIONS, SUM_VAT, SUM_OPT, SUM_DSC, and PAID
Important Settings for a Crowding Report
When configuring a crowding report, the following settings are important:
Context
The data the report should be based on.
In this case, the only option is Reservation.
Group by
Here you specify the time interval by which the crowding should be displayed.
Field for Counting
You can determine crowding in several ways: number of reservations, number of products, number of participants, and number of players.
The corresponding values are CNT_RES, NUMBER, CNT_PARTICIPANTS, and CNT_PLAYERS.
Chart Type
Here you specify how you want the data to be displayed. This can be done using a line chart or a heatmap.
The current settings for occupancy rate are less extensive.
