How do I apply discount rules?

In configuration mode, you can add a discount rule via Objects > Discount Rules.

• Name: The name you enter here is only used in the admin panel.
• Group: The group is used to link the rule to a calendar. Only one group can be active at a time.

Select a discount type. You can find an explanation here: What are discount rules?

Select the values to compare with (or leave the current values in place; these can be further adjusted later).

Choose a fixed amount or work with a variable (percentage %). (This can also be adjusted later.)

Click save and continue editing in the detail screen.

Example

You rent out rooms per time slot. 1 time slot is €100, 2 time slots €200, and 3 time slots €250. The core of your discount rule is the number of periods booked. Translated to this example: if 3 periods are booked, apply the configured discount.

This means that in the Discount Rule block, you compare the min/max to the field Number of Periods. Min and max would then be 3.

In the Amount Calculation block, this concerns a fixed amount of €50 (instead of €300 for 3 time slots, the customer pays €250, which is €50 less).

To apply this discount rule to the product, link it in the calendar of the product (Menu Objects > Manage Products > Schedule).
