Configuration - Objects - Admin Products

It is possible to offer the customer extra options such as coffee and tea, lunch or use of a laptop. The options can be created per product, and can therefore also differ per product. The option will be visible when the customer is completing the booking dialog, and also when the administrator makes a new booking in the admin panel.

Adding an option

Adding and/or amending an option for a product takes only a few simple steps:

  • In the admin panel, click in the dropdown on Configuration top right of the page.
  • Click in the menu on Objects and then on Manage products.
  • Select a product by clicking on the Product ID (number) .
  • Click, at the top right of the page, on Views and then on Object - Extra.
  • Various blocks will be dusplayed. Go to the 'Option details' block.
  • Place the mouse pointer on the dark grey row (block menu) and click on the round icon with a plus sign, to add a new option.
  • The pencil icon can be seen next to both the options and the price. By clicking on the icon, the information can be amended.
Click on the red icon with the cross to delete an option. To copy an option, click twice on the green icon.
Once an option is in use and there are bookings with that option (present or future), it cannot be deleted. Doing so would erase the history at this point. Modifying an option is still possible.

Example

We will add the 'Lunch' option as an example. This takes only a few simple steps:

Place the mouse pointer on the round icon with a plus sign (block menu) and click to add a new option.
There is a choice of three types:

  • Type A: 0 of 1 per product (check box) - a field appears in which the customer can tick a box.
  • Type B: 0,1 or more per product (text box) - a field appears in which the customer can enter the amount.
  • Type C: group of options - when creating multiple options with this type, a dropdown menu will appear, in which the customer can choose from the options.

In this example, we choose Type B. Fill in 'Lunch' after Name and Description.
Using the Next button, it is possible to set up more matters, such as maximum amount, price and whether or not the option is required.

Copying options

When the options for certain products are the same, they can be copied through the 'Action Block'. Click on Copy parts. The 'Copy product' screen will open. After 'Target products', select the products to which the options should be copied. Click on Use selected products. Then, after 'Copying options', select Add and click on Save at the bottom of the screen.
