To whom do we communicate?
It is possible to send communication from i-Reserve. This can be an email or a text message.

This article focuses on communication towards the participant.
First the basics. In i-Reserve we talk about a customer with a reservation. Customer is a broad concept here. Contact person, participant, etc. See the translation sector.
A customer has a mobile number and an e-mail address. It is up to the administrator whether this data is recorded.
Basically, the communication is then also done to the mobile number (an SMS) or to the e-mail address.
The concept of participant also exists in the data model. One or more participants can be specified when making a reservation.
Now there are participant types where only the numbers are recorded. Example: a tour you go to with X adults and Y children.
Then the adults and children are the types and the X and Y are the numbers.
There are also participant types where you record the detailed information. For example, a pottery workshop where you record a first name and age for each participant.
There are cases where the participant needs to receive information on his own.
Consider an example where the customer (contact person) makes a reservation (registration) for several participants (students).
The participants are now - for example after the payment step - informed about the location of the course via an email that should be sent to the participants.
What is needed for this?
Object has at least 1 participant type
Participant type is set to "Enter data"
Fields visible on the participant type must be "mobile" or "email"
If these conditions are met, then it becomes possible to
1. Send an email at activity level
2. Use a status transition and specify the target group there.
In both cases it is possible to choose "Customer" / "Participants" or "Customer + Participants".
