How can I import data?

Importing is loading external information into i-Reserve.

Importing information is mainly done during the setup of i-Reserve. It is often useful to be able to use previously obtained information directly in i-Reserve. Good examples of this are customers and reservations, for example from a previous reservation system or Excel.

Getting started with importing

Importing external information can be error-prone. It is therefore important to use a smart approach:

• Start with a few (2-3) lines
• Create a test file
• Import the test file and check all fields
• Use the test file to create a complete import file or split the import into multiple parts

Further tips

• Even though Excel is available, sometimes it can be wise to save the Excel sheet as CSV and import it as CSV
• It is possible to import a single piece of data in multiple places. Simply duplicate the column and assign it to another field
