How can I give specific customers a discount?

When working with users, discounts can be automated by using user profiles. For example, a user profile can be set up to apply a discount for regular customers. If a customer is linked to the user profile, the discount will be applied automatically.

Example:

You have customers who can book a product or multiple products for free. How do you set that up?

• Create a user profile: go to Configuration, then to System, and then to User Profiles.
• Add a new user profile and set the discount to 100%.
• You can also assign products to this profile. (How do I link products to a profile?)
• Next, assign the user profile to the user: go to the Customer Dashboard and in the User details block, you can add a profile. (How do I link a user to a user profile?)
• The customer must also be linked to a user. This is also done in the Customer Dashboard under the User details block.
• Every time that user logs into the frontend, the discount will automatically be applied.
