Configuration - Templates - i-Calendar

i-Calendar can be used in both the backend and the frontend to import an appointment into a calendar.

In the backend

On the dashboard of a reservation, the link ‘Add to calendar’ appears when the user has been granted the correct associated right. By clicking on this link you are able to open the generated ICS file in the calendar of your choice, or download it.

Op de frontend

There are two ways in which i-Calendar can be used when communicating to customers: as a link on the final checkout page (the end screen of the booking dialog) or as an e-mail attachment.

i-Calendar link

An ‘Import appointment in calendar’ button can be displayed on the final checkout page. As soon as a customer clicks on this button, the generated ICS file can be opened directly in a calendar, or the file can be downloaded.

i-Calendar bijlage

It is possible to attach the generated ICS file to the mail that is sent to a customer, for example, when a reservation is made or confirmed. When the customers’ mail program automatically recognises the ICS file, the appointment can be imported into a calendar with one click. If the ICS file is not automatically recognised, the recipient can click the attachment to import the appointment into a calendar.
