Functional description

The "Simple graphical statistics" block provides a basic display of information using a chart of your choice, based on a predefined theme.

The "Simple graphical statistics" block can be created based on an existing filter. It provides options to convert a filter into a chart. There are three types of charts:

  • Columns (vertical)
  • Bar (horizontal)
  • Pie (circle chart)

When a block is first set up on a dashboard, the settings screen is shown. To modify this information later, use the menu in the top right corner of the block, which appears when you hover your mouse over it.

Chart type
In the dropdown, you can choose between bar, column, and pie. The choice depends on the information to be displayed in the chart. Some information is better suited to a pie chart, while other information works better in a bar or column chart.

Select a filter
A dropdown allows you to select from the available filters. Based on the selected filter, the statistics will be generated. When many filters are available, you can search by typing a few characters in the dropdown. Filters are displayed based on the description of the context combined with the filter name.

Select a field
After selecting a filter, you can choose a field on which the statistics will be based. The choice of this field will be placed in the column of the bar chart.

Theme
By choosing a theme, you determine which colors are used for the chart.

Threshold value
Without a threshold value, a statistic can sometimes become very long. For example, when searching based on the number of reservations per person, it is quite possible that many values appear where only one reservation was made by a person. By specifying a threshold value, this data is grouped under "Other". For example, if you enter 5 as a threshold, any item with 1–4 entries will be grouped under "Other".

Save
By clicking the "Save" button, the block will be stored and the desired information will be displayed.
