i-Reserve uses a variety of different concepts which are explained on this page. Please note that some of the concepts depend on the sector or language in which the i-Reserve environment is setup.

Term Meaning
Dashboard A page consisting of one or more blocks.
Block Also known as dashboard block.
Part of the dashboard, a mini page.
Menu The menu makes it possible to navigate to a page.
Toolbar Depending on which page it appears on, the toolbar displays some specific actions and a few generic ones, such as favourites and the feedback button.
The toolbar is situated below the menu.
Filter Filters can be used to carry out searches and to sort information into an overview.
Grid This is a table, generally containing the results of a filter search.
Context An interface in which the current page is being displayed./> For example: Booking, Customers, Punch Cards.
Reservation Booking a place on a certain date.
Also known as booking or option.
Invoice An overview of goods and/or services rendered.
In the booking system, an invoice is generally directly linked to a booking.
Gift voucher A coupon, given as a gift.
It can be redeemed, when making a booking in the booking system, usually by means of a code.
Discount voucher Also known as discount code.
It can be redeemed, when making a booking in the booking system, usually by means of a code, to get discount on the booking.
Punch card A virtual punch card (knipkaart) which can be used to pay for multiple bookings.
Object A service which can be booked.
Also known as a product.
Activity A date/time which can be booked.
An activity is based on an object.
Resource That which is actually being booked; in general, a physical object, but it can also be a person.
For example: a space being rented out, a teacher providing training or a guide giving a tour.
A resource is not necessarily visible to the person booking.
