i-Reserve Scanner App Documentation


1. Overview

The i-Reserve Scanner App allows users to quickly scan electronic tickets, verify their validity and track scanned ticket history.


2. Getting started

2.1 Installation

The app is available on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store.

Your device needs to be on iOS 16+ and Android 8+ to install the app.

2.2 Set up your environment

Make sure that the e-ticket module is active in your environment and app management is visible.

Checking activation of e-ticket module

You can check if the e-ticket module is active by logging in as an admin in your environment with the following steps:

  • Go to Profile > License Management
  • Under the column Modules, if you can see the E-ticket module, then it is activated!
  • Please keep in mind that activating the E-ticket module after purchase can take a few hours.
  • If the E-ticket still does not show up please contact customer support

Checking if app management is visible

You need to be able to access app management to connect your device via QR-code. You check if this is available by checking Profile > Manage Apps. If that option is not visible, follow these steps to activate the setting:

  • Ín Configuration, Go to System > User Groups
  • Choose which user group you want to change visibility of (Usually admin!). Click Assign Rights in the action column.
  • On the Group Rights page, in the Assigned tab, look for menu_apps and menu_apps_manage (Use Control/Command+F!). There is no need for any action if the rights are found in the Assigned tab.
  • If the rights are not on the Assigned tab, go to the Unassigned tab and look for menu_apps and menu_apps_manage (Use Control/Command+F).
  • select the rights, scroll down and click Assign to this group. Now Manage Apps should be visible for the selected group.

2.3 Logging in

Users can login in 2 ways, using their username and password or via a QR code linnked to their account.

Logging in with Username and password

  • Enter your environment URL. This is usually [YOURNAME].i-reserve.net
  • Enter your account details. The username and password are the same as the one you use to login to the admin panel via web.
  • Click on Login, you will be redirected to the app's home page.

Logging in with QR code

  • In your environment admin panel, go to Profile > Manage Apps
  • On the Manage Apps page, click on Add App
  • A window will appear. Choose the user you want to login as.
  • In the app, click on Log in with QR. Use the camera to scan the generated QR
  • If the scan was successful, the app will automatically log you in.

3. Using the App

3.1 Scanning an E-ticket

  • Open the app and go to the Scanner tab.
  • Align the ticket's QR code with the scanner.
  • After scanning, the app will display the validity of the ticket.

3.2 Viewing Scan History

  • Navigate to History to see previousley scanned tickets.
  • To delete the scan history, go to More > Delete Scan History

4. Troubleshoooting & FAQs

4.1 Login Issues

  • Forgot Password? Reset your password via the environment admin panel.

  • QR Code Not Working? Ensure proper lighting and a clear QR code image.

  • Account Not Found? Verify your credentials in your environment or contact support.

4.2 Scanner Not Detecting Tickets

  • Ensure the camera has permission to access the app.
  • Clean your camera lens and try again.
  • If scanning from a screen, increase brightness.
  • Try scanning from multiple distances.

4.3 History Not Showing Tickets

  • Make sure you're logged into the correct account
  • Try refreshing the page or restarting the app.
