How (and when) do I clear my browser cache?
Don't see your i-Reserve changes in the front-end? Your browser is probably showing an old version from its cache (temporarily stored pages and images). Below you'll find how to fix this, per device and browser.
Try this first: a hard reload
A hard reload is usually enough. It reloads the page without using the cached version:
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R (or Ctrl + F5)
- Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
Doesn't work? Then clear the full cache using the steps below. In most browsers you can open the dialog directly with Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac).
Quick check: open a private or incognito window
A private or incognito window starts a clean session: the existing cache, cookies and sign-ins from your normal window aren't used here. The page is therefore loaded fresh from the server, without an old cached version. Handy for quickly checking whether you're dealing with a caching issue — without having to clear your normal cache.
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N (Chrome/Edge) or Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
- Mac: Cmd + Shift + N (Chrome/Edge/Safari) or Cmd + Shift + P (Firefox)
Note: a private window shows a fresh version but does not clear your normal cache. If you can see the change in a private window but not in your normal one, clear your cache anyway using the steps below.
