How do you let a customer register themselves?
In i-Reserve, it is possible to give regular customers their own user account. This means they don’t have to fill out the entire customer form each time—they can simply log in to a customer page. (With this login feature, your customers also gain access to an overview of their reservations and costs.)
Requiring login and creating a user account can be set either globally for all products or individually per product.
If you want to set it up globally, go to the configuration panel and select General Settings from the dropdown menu under Customer Page. Then check the box for Login Required. This way, you allow customers to register for all your products. Read more about the other settings on the customer page here: Overview of general customer page settings.
If you want your customers to log in/register only for specific products, go to the configuration panel and select the specific product(s). In the product settings, you can choose whether or not the customer must create a username. Read more about this and other product settings here: Overview of product settings.
You can also allow a customer to register without linking it to the full site or to a product. The advantage is that it’s not mandatory, so you give customers the choice. For this option, you can place a Register button in your header or footer via the configuration panel. Go to Content Pages under the menu item Customer Page. Then select Menu Block.
