Functional description

In i-Reserve and in the manual, you will come across several types of users. The first distinction we make is between a user of the customer interface (frontend) and a user of the admin panel (backend). Frontend users, or customer users, are customers who have a linked user account. Backend users are referred to as administrators.

The second distinction applies to backend users, i.e., administrators. Essentially, there are two types of administrators:

  • An administrator who can only view and modify, for example, reservations and customers. In the manual, we simply refer to this type of administrator as a "User".

  • An administrator who, in addition, can access all functionalities and modify and configure settings. In the manual, we simply refer to this type of administrator as an "Administrator".

Backend users are organized into user groups; frontend users are not part of a user group. By assigning specific permissions to a user group, you determine what the members of that group can or cannot see and do in the admin panel.
