Instruction

Creating a multi-day course is useful when a course spans multiple days and needs to be booked all at once, for example, a three-day course with two days of instruction and one day of exams.

Creating a multi-day course can also be useful when a one-day course recurs regularly over a period of time. An example of this is a sculpting course offered twice a week for six months. To avoid creating 52 separate courses, you can create a series of courses all at once. The courses can then be booked individually.

In the first step, we only create the starting course. This is the very first date of the series.

The characteristics of this course will be included in the series. A good description is therefore helpful.

A recurring course is a series with a specific pattern and an end date on which the pattern stops.

Select whether the course should repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. With the repeat option, you also have the possibility to repeat, for example, every 2nd Monday of the month.

If you have a course that takes place on variable days, for example 2 days this week and 1 day next week, make sure to create a series of 3 days in this case. The dates can still be changed/shifted per course after creation.

Select an end date on which the series should stop and save the series.

After saving, you'll return to the course dashboard. By default, all courses can be booked individually.

The action menu now includes an option for "Show series details" This provides an overview of all courses linked to the main course. Above the courses, you'll find an option for "Series type." Set this to "Book for the entire series" if all courses can be booked at once.

Selecting a course from the list opens the dashboard for that course. Here, you can edit the course description if you need to change it. For example, you can name the last course in the series "Exam."

You can also adjust the date and/or time for each course. This allows you to make the "Exam" shorter than the other courses or schedule it on a date outside the series.

Note: a maximum of 10 courses can be displayed under the 'Show series details' button. Use the course filter to retrieve extended recurrence patterns.
