How do I check an invoice?
As long as an invoice has the status 'Draft', you can follow the steps below to check an invoice for possible errors:
- In the 'Invoice action' dashboard block, click the action 'Check invoice'.
- The 'Invoice check' popup will appear.
- The popup will display the result of the check.
- Click 'Close'.
- If any issues are found, you must resolve them before you can, for example, finalize the invoice.
Problems found
If problems are found, the 'Invoice check' popup will list the performed check in the 'Type' column. The 'Result' column will show the detected issue. Two types of checks are performed:
Detail line check
This checks whether detail lines have been specified in the 'Invoice details' block. If the message "No detail lines specified. Invoice cannot be finalized." appears, you must ensure that at least one detail line is set.
Account code check
This check is only performed when the Export module is in use. If the message "No account codes specified while export module is active" appears, you must ensure that for each detail line the 'Ledger' and 'Indicator' fields are filled in.
It is recommended to always check an invoice, especially before finalizing it.
