Evening and morning prices (time-based)
Example: a meeting room is free during the day (09:00–18:00) and € 30 per hour in the evening (18:00–23:00). A customer books from 17:00 to 19:00.
What does the customer see?
The first hour falls in the free window, the second hour in the evening rate:
| Description | From date | From time | To time | Quantity | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Room hire (day) | Thu 23 Jul 2026 | 17:00 | 18:00 | 1 | € 0.00 |
| Room hire (evening) | Thu 23 Jul 2026 | 18:00 | 19:00 | 1 | € 30.00 |
| Total | € 30.00 |
When to use this
- The room is booked per hour/time block (time mode).
- The rate depends on the time within the same day.
Step 1 — Period
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Unit | Minutes |
| Length (timespan) | 60 |
| Price (base) | not needed; price comes from the schema |
Step 2 — Price schema
Note: in time mode the system automatically turns each price row you add into 7 rows — one per weekday (Sun–Sat). Each row defaults to the whole day (0:00–24:00) at price 0. You then only adjust the price (and optionally the time window) on the days you need.
Create two schema rows — one per time window:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Row 1 — From / To | 09:00 / 18:00 |
| Row 1 — Price | € 0.00 |
| Row 2 — From / To | 18:00 / 23:00 |
| Row 2 — Price | € 30.00 |
| Calculation | Total price or Per participant |
| Next day | tick if a window runs past midnight |
For each booked time, i-Reserve automatically picks the row whose start time falls within From–To. So the room is free before 18:00 and chargeable afterwards.
Why 0:00–24:00 and not your opening hours?
The From and To fields in the price schema are not opening hours. They only decide for which time window a price row applies. By covering the whole day (0:00–24:00), every booking always has a valid price — even when an administrator places a reservation outside the regular opening hours. If you leave part of the day uncovered, a booking at that moment may end up without a price. The moments a customer can book online are set separately via the opening hours/bookable times.
