Creating a roster
Open Booking > Roster or Activity > Roster and click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top right, then Manage roster. You get an overview of all rosters you may manage, with the columns Name, Default, Type, To show, Colors, Settings, Shared with and Action for each roster.
New roster
- Click Add roster at the bottom.
- Give the roster a recognizable name, for example "Meeting rooms" or "Staff column roster".
- Check Default if this roster should open automatically whenever a user navigates to Roster. Only one roster per user/context can be default.
- Choose the Type.
Type: columns or timeline, resources or room types
Four combinations are possible:
| Type | Display | Columns are |
|---|---|---|
| Columns (resources) | time runs vertically, book by click-and-drag per column | individual resources (e.g. one specific meeting room, one specific staff member) |
| Columns (room types) | same as above | room types/product types (a group of similar objects) |
| Timeline (room types) | time runs horizontally, rows instead of columns | room types/product types |
| Timeline (resources) | same as above | individual resources |
Choose resources if you want to see bookings per individual object (this one meeting room, this one staff member). Choose room types if a group of similar products should be shown together in one roster, for example all meeting rooms of the same type.
After creating it, finish setting up the roster with which columns are shown, the colors, the settings and who it is shared with.
Actions
Each roster in the list has three action icons: copy (duplicates this roster including all its settings, handy as a starting point for a similar roster), open externally (opens the roster in a new screen) and delete.
