Configuration - System - Users

In i-Reserve a distinction is made between two types of users.

  1. Users that can login via the front-end
  2. Users that can login via the back-end

Users that can login via the front-end

Customers who make a reservation via the front-end are considered users. They could create a user account themselves or i-Reserve could be configured to automatically create one for them at the time of reservation. They would then be able to login to the front-end where they may, for example, depending on the design, view and change reservations, view and order the status of their cutting cards, view-, pay- and download their invoices and view their subscription. These users do not have the rights to login to the back-end.

Users that can login via the back-end

A user with the appropriate rights has the ability to create new users in i-Reserve. By placing these users in a user group it becomes possible to further define various roles. In i-Reserve a user in a user group is called an ‘Administrator’. The tasks that an administrator may perform is dependent on the rights associated with that user group. Each user group has separate rights that are associated with the relevant role of the user. For example, a functional manager would in practice have more rights than a desk employee.
