Example: a bed & breakfast charges € 50 per person per night. A guest books with 2 people for a stay of 8 days (= 7 nights).

This approach applies to day/overnight rental: campsite (pitch), bed & breakfast, holiday home or apartment.

What does the customer see?

Calculation Per participant per night: € 50 × 2 people × 7 nights = € 700.00.

When to use this

  • The rental runs over whole days or nights instead of hours (day mode).
  • There may be an arrival/departure time that affects the price (day+time mode).

Step 1 — Period

SettingValue
ModeDay mode (or day+time mode; then the field Days calculate time is on)
UnitDays
Length (timespan)number of days; nights = timespan − 1

Step 2 — Price schema

Choose the desired method under Calculation:

SettingValue
Per participant per nightprice × people × (days − 1)
Per participant per dayprice × people × days
Per participant per periodprice × people
Total pricefixed amount, no multiplication
Total price – surcharge on return timebase price + surcharge based on the extra day(s) beyond the number of nights

Example for 8 days (= 7 nights) and 2 people: per night = price × 2 × 7; per day = price × 2 × 8; total price = the entered amount without multiplication.

Note: unlike time mode, in day mode the system does not create 7 weekday rows — here you work with one price row per schema group.
