What is an event?

An event is a general term and could be, for example, a lesson, a course, a tournament, a guided tour etc. The difference between the hiring of a space (eg a room) or participating in an event, is that a space is always present and available whereas an event takes place at a specific moment in time.

An event can be singular, for example one simple tour. An event can also occur in a series, such as a fitness class that takes place every Wednesday evening; or a sequence of events such as a course where there are 2 days of lessons and an exam that takes place at the end. Depending on the type, a single event can be booked or a series/sequence can be booked.
